About Blanka
Blanka obtained her Bachelor’s degree at Poznan University of Science and there she focused on cancer stem cells’ sensitivity to radio- and chemotherapy. Bachelor’s degree was followed by Master’s degree at the same university and the goal was to investigate genomic rearrangements in neuroendocrine tumors using DNA Microarrays. After that, she received a scholarship as a Visiting Research Graduate Trainee and went to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation where she worked in the field of DNA replication. This topic led to a further interest in 3D genome organization. Currently she is working in the group led by Stefan Mundlos on detection of abnormal chromatin interactions in patient fibroblasts.
